In his latest sculpture works, cast metal trophies created from discarded skateboards preserve the physical traces of use, repetition, and progression. Rather than concealing wear and damage, the works transform these marks into evidence of experience and meaning. Through acts of preservation and transformation, Chiswell invites viewers to reconsider where significance resides: in beginnings or endings, ideas or objects, and the moments that might otherwise be overlooked or discarded.
