In Your Hands was composed by time as much as it was by the artist’s hand. Excited by the unpredictability and rawness of creating a painting, Arran Rahimian uses reclaimed book covers in his work, some over a century old. Time, then, creates subtle yet profound compositional studies on each work.

Arran Rahimian’s canvas works are a visual documentation of time, leaving the natural elements to compose visual compositions through a layer of line. Each canvas work is a landscape created by the landscape itself. Rahimian does not plan his works, rather seeks to create work that is visually stimulating without becoming overworked.
